The Foster Teen Parent Program (FTP) is a specialized initiative designed for teen parents in foster care, utilizing Yale University’s Minding the Baby® (MTB) model to support young parents in developing strong, healthy relationships with their children. By focusing on secure attachment and mental health, the program aims to reduce recidivism into the foster care system for both the teen parents and their children. This evidence-based home visiting model promotes stability, emotional well-being, and self-sufficiency, addressing the unique needs and challenges faced by teen parents in foster care.
Our life skills and life coaching program is designed to support youth aging out of foster care as they transition to independent living. The program provides personalized coaching, practical skills training, and emotional support to help young adults build a stable, self-sufficient future. Participants learn critical life skills such as financial literacy, job readiness, housing stability, and goal setting, while receiving guidance on navigating adult responsibilities and personal development. With a focus on empowerment and resilience, the program helps youth confidently step into adulthood and reach their full potential.
